Mazel
This work symbolizes "Shalom Bayit" -- peace and harmony in the home. Pictured are a man and a woman affirming their dedication to each other. They are holding a cup of wine and standing under a Chuppa (wedding canopy) in the shape of a Hamsa. These items symbolize the covenant that the two people made with each other during the wedding ceremony. The Hamsa is also a traditional symbol of good fortune, or Mazel. The starry sky symbolizes the covenant that G-D made with Abraham -- that the Jewish people would be eternal as the stars in the sky. The couple stands upon a rainbow, symbolizing the covenant of peace that G-D made with Noah. Thus, our couple is surrounded with the signs of G-D's love and promise. An open edition Giclee print of an original painting by Arel Mishory. The finished size is 8 x 10. The image size is 4" x 6".
